We are thinking about making an ‘illustrated’ product catalog of the most common apparel items in both male and female styles–INCLUDING SLEEVES!!
So, rather than having to rely on actual product photos you can use illustrated versions. We need you to vote! Is this a worthy effort? Would you use these?
that would be nice for the back of garments to put names and numbers on. however, we do a lot of nike, adidas, under armour….where the back of the shirt is not plain, but it would be nice for them to be able to customize it. it would be awesome if you had the front image and not the back, that you could use the vector one if you wanted.
This would be a great idea as a backup for those products that don’t have quality pictures or are folded etc. You need to have both options available still but this could be very useful.
Even if a shop is not using S&S, the blanks on S&S are fantastic. No need to spend time on this IMO.
Please work on the feature requests such as:
Create editable Static Products
Allow HTML in Product description field
Improved organization of Designs, Clipart and Products
Complete management of presentation layer, full CSS control
Basically, improve the e-commerce experience. Implement the functions and capabilities that Core Commerce, Volusion, Big Commerce and Shopify have.
With the online designer….inksoft would be #1.
Totally agree.
Yes, having the illustrated version displayed in the designer when no picture is available for the back or sleeves would be a big help.
I agree 100% with Paul’s comment. Don’t invest in creating illustrated images…..invest in more dynamic and user friendly things….

I usually create sites with the actual product images, when people buy online they need to envision themselves in the garment, specially women. Illustrations seem too “blah” imo.
Big commerce has a fantastic dynamic back end, extremely easy to use, but unfortunately is not “industry specific” and it also allows full css control, which is very important to have a strong web presence and not have a “template” like website.
Hey Ana:
We are going to create this ‘illustrated library’ for the users that want them. We will also make them available to use for marketing purposes (banners, ads, custom content).
As for the backend, we are redoing this from the ground up. Check. It. Out. https://www.inksoft.com/inksoft-backend-2-0-sneak-peek/
A fantastic move..!
i was just wondering if this had been decided if it was a go or not?
Yes. We’ve put this into action and expect to have something to share in 30-45 days.
