We’ve given the InkSoft Admin Portal a new look! The goal of this project was to best utilize and maximize space, work area, clarity and color. We hope you enjoy this enhancement!
Although initially the new calendar looks clean, it requires much much more scrolling, and it’s actually much more difficult to find jobs, since we’re a very busy shop. I’d like to see the whole month fit on the page, as well as the ability to remember the filtering when the calendar is refreshed.
Cheryl – On our old, handwritten schedule, we had codes so we knew what was going on with an order at a glance. Because you can only see the job name on the inksoft calendar, we improvised. Ours might read:
w – drill team 12345 10 min
Translation:
w- waiting for art approval (A- art turned in for burning; S- screen burned)
drill team – name of job
12345 – workorder number (great to search by)
10 min – the amount of time projected to print the job. Since we can’t block time, it gives us a better idea as to whether or not our day is filling up.
We use the Department to designate whether it is a retail, or a contract customer, and which contract customer. This is great for filtering. We use stage, which shows up in color for at a glance info – we use:
Yellow – goods in house
red – ATTENTION – for some reason, the order is on hold. Open the job up for details
green – screens are burned, goods in house, and in production
black – job is complete
There are more, but it’s specific to what we want to see…
I hope this helps you. We love using the calendar.
Inksoft – since I know you are monitoring, could you please make sure Cheryl sees this??!! Thank you.
The new back-end looks great! So much cleaner and easier on the eyes. Keep up the good work!
This is nice. Would really like to see release notes of all changes at least three days before they actually happen.
Hey guys – the new back end is really nice. Great job! Talk with y’all again soon

Kathy:
Thanks for the feedback. We are actively redesigning the production management tools in InkSoft. Stay tuned for more information.
Kathy, you use the calendar feature? I’m a pretty busy shop myself and I found it impossible to visualize with the calendar.

Where do I now find all of the completed orders?

While we agree that it used more scrolling, we love the new modern and clean look! Easier to quickly identify navigation
