You can create your own custom color palettes for display in the InkSoft Design Studio. This allows you to control which colors shoppers can select from. Take a look at this video overview to see how to create or edit a color palette.

I’d very much like to see the color mapping feature updated. Specifically, I would like to be able to upload already existing color palettes into it. Being new to digital design, I found the color mapping daunting. I would have liked the opportunity to load in existing maps from either the InkSoft team or another InkSoft user.
