SEO Settings
You now can set a custom page title, description, and focus keyword for your InkSoft powered store. Under EDIT MODE go to SETTINGS ->SEO SETTINGS to get these setup for your own stores.
Using the SEO settings is perfect for driving traffic to any of your stores that are running on a long-term basis. Additionally, this will allow you to control what displays when your customers do a simple web search for your store.
What can you control?
Meta Title (Custom Page Title) – Title tags are used to tell search engines and visitors what your website is about in the most concise and accurate way possible. This title will show up as a big blue link in search engine results.
This should be around 70 characters.
e.g.) Tempe Aztec High School Spiritwear
Crafting meaningful titles for SEO
Meta Description – This is a short paragraph of text placed in the HTML of a webpage that describes its content. The meta description will appear under your page’s URL in search results. This is often referred to as a snippet.
This cannot have more than 160 characters, and InkSoft has a character counter below the text box that won’t let you go above this.
e.g.) Tempe Aztec High School Spiritwear Store. Help support the Tempe Aztecs and show your school pride. 10% of all sales will go to support Aztec athletics.
How to create killer meta descriptions
Focus Keyword – The focus keyword is the main keyword that you are hoping people will search for to find your website. (Can be more than one word)
e.g.) Tempe Aztec High School
Simple Reports
After healthy discussion on the InkSoft user facebook community, we are happy to release Simple Reports. Showing once again that when we all work together we can make the InkSoft platform stronger.
To access these reports simply go to your Admin Portal then REPORTS->SIMPLE REPORTING and click the report you want to download.
The four reports available are:
- Simple Personalization Report
- Simple Order Report
- Simple Order Item Report
- Simple Product Ordering Report
CardConnect Payment Processor
Finally, we are excited to announce that we have partnered with a new payment processor, CardConnect. With our partnership with CardConnect, we are continuing to add value to being a part of #TeamInkSoft, and giving you some of the lowest rates available.
If you do a high volume through your payment processors, you can work with them to negotiate lower rates. They will have to go over some of your historical statements but this could be well worth it if you qualify.
