Thanks for all of your feedback and comments submitted here about the Player Names & Numbers function coming to the Design Studio. We’ve taken your feedback, consumed too much caffeine and came up with the below. How did we do? This will be moving into development as soon as the consensus gives a thumbs up!
Looks good guys. I would just suggest that we can restrict the available colors separate from the screen printing colors. The last thing we want to do is stock 36 different colors of heat press material.
Looks very easy to use, nice idea!
I 2nd the vote on the limited color options. Other than that everything looks good! Great new feature.
I would add one thing…
“Choose Number Size”
6 inch ()
8 inch ()
10 inch ()
()- represents a radio button or something
Customers ALWAYS assume they are getting 10 inch numbers!! those cost allot more than 6 or 8, we need to distinguish this and charge appropriately. Also, this info needs to be parsed into the backend of the work order..
Customer Choose 6 inch names for instance.
Same goes for name size.
Other than that…love the mock up!
love it, i think that will help convert alot more orders
As for limiting colors on the names and numbers – I think all colors should be available, and we should be able to limit those ourselves. I may stock 20 colors of heat press material and someone else may stock 36 colors. I wouldn’t want to limit the person that stocks 36.
Hey everyone. You WILL be able to define a custom colors for Names & Numbers! You can do this for each webstore. This is perfect to offer the team / organizations colors!!
I love this idea! In my area there is a huge market for silk screened numbers which is great becuase my shop is geared towards this. I use an inline technologies number press which is great for numbering 12 pieces or 1000 pieces. I have 4 different font that I use ranging from 4″ to 12″ will I be able to pick and choose or even upload an example of the font I would like to make available? As far as colors I would not be opposed to making it an option on which colors or how many color we chose to offer.
Customers should be able to choose size of name and number. Otherwise we may make an assumption that they want one size and are expecting a different size.
We will discuss this as a team. This adds a lot of additional complexity for shoppers and users.
Do you think this would work:
Select a size:
Small
Med
Large
Anya,
I know it adds complexity but every competitor online and offline has a way for customers to choose size.
Small, Medium and Large, is ambiguous…
Also, Smaller numbers (if heat transfer) are way cheaper than larger numbers.
So we cant just charge a flat fee, well we could, but we want to be fair and also cover ourselves at the same time.
Are there standard sizes? Shall we just duplicate what custom ink.com offers? See here: https://d.pr/vus9
Anya-
Yes, there are standard sizes.
Names are usually 2 inches tall.
Numbers come in 2 inch, 4, 6, 8, 10
Customink did millions of dollars in research…yes (research..not building)…and they hit the nail on the head.
Duplicate what customink did exactly (as far as options and and descriptions)…notice they even list the price for numbers and names in that same window.
instead of small medium large – it should be more specific. Like 4″ , 6″ , 8″ 10″
I too use inline numbering systems for screen printing numbers. You are limited to fonts to choose from, but yes 4″,6″,8″,and 10″ are the most popular numbers.
I just hope the customer can add a number to more locations than just the front. Basketball and Football jerseys have to have a number on the front and back to meet code.
Would also like to off 2 color numbers and be able to price each with individual costs associated.
Hope to have more than just the back location offered that is. Sorry for typo.
All: We have agreed to add sides and allow for you to add custom sizes. See here for a start: https://d.pr/low5 Working on a mock up for where to add sides.
Anya,
Please have them add something like ” Names are 3.00 each. Numbers are 5.00 each” … They need to know inside that window how much each is, so there is no sticker shock..
agreed?
It is very important to have the exact measurement for numbers. I do custom numbers for kids of all ages and adults. Customers need to choose the size of the numbers otherwise there will me more work for me to do on the follow through. For names and numbers, one is limited to space on the shirt. You can put a 10 inch number and a 2 inch name on a tiny tee.
All:
We are adding the ability for you to define your own custom sizes. Here is the updated mock up: https://d.pr/1wED
Is this available on the software as of yet?
It is currently in development. Soon!!
